I suppose you use demo which comes with Lucene. Then try add 
"JAVA_UNICODE_ESCAPE=true;"  (without quotes) into options in HTMLParser.jj and 
regenrate lexical analyzer (javacc HTMLParser.jj). That solve problem for me.
