The Spring framework is used for a different purpose than Hibernate, and provides support FOR hibernate(ORM mapping). Spring itself addresses ORM, but not at such a performance level as Hibernate, that is why it supports Hibernate. So Spring and Hibernate can be used together, doesn't matter how many users each has.
