Steve, is there a way to keep the classes.zip unmodified (enough :^>)
in the Linux version so that no extra file is needed?

This seems to be a feature of the classes.zip which comes with the JDK
for Linux - but if you download the classes for Solaris from Javasoft
they work fine.
