Hello, For some reason I cannot convince a JFrame to accept uppercase characters when CapsLock is on. ie, KeyEvent.getKeyChar() is returning 'a' when I press the A key regardless of whether CapsLock is on. I'm using Swing 1.1.1b2 with JDK1.1.7v3 on a virgin RH6 machine. I thought perhaps it was my keymap but I've tried a hundred different combinations with no success. Has anyone had similar problems? Any help would be greatly appreciated. As a side-note, the problem doesn't exist under Win32. As an alternative, does anyone know how to poll the keyboard to see if the CapsLock is on/off with Java?
