Definição de JAR:
An
acronym for Java ARchive (JAR)—a platform-independent file format used for
aggregating many files into one. For example, multiple Java applets along with
their requisite components (e.g.,.class files, images, sounds) can be
bundled in a JAR file and subsequently downloaded to a browser in a single HTTP
transaction. Also, JAR supports file compression and digital signatures.
