Title: ORACLE DBA Location: St Louis, MO Duration: 12 Months Job Description/Job Overview: • Advanced knowledge of Oracle internals. • Advanced knowledge of Oracle physical database tuning. • Advanced knowledge of SQL tuning background. • Advanced knowledge of replication implementation (Streams/Dataguard). • Working knowledge of backup/recovery using RMAN. • Working PL/SQL coding background. • Working knowledge of performance and monitoring utilities (Oracle Enterprise Manager). • Advanced implementation knowledge of partitioning. • Advanced knowledge of Oracle RAC and Cluster Resource software and Oracle 10g features. • Working knowledge of Oracle 11g and 11g new features preferred. Education: • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems or equivalent experience Knowledge Experience and Non-Technical Skills: • Demonstrates a broad understanding of tools, utilities, and knowledge within Data Architecture (3 to 5 years related experience) • Demonstrates a broad understanding of Data Architecture's role in supporting business processes. • Demonstrates a strong ability to participate in Cross functional teams for estimating and implementation strategies. Skills/ Abilities: • Ability to use strong writing and verbal communication skills to represent DA's position in support of sound database structures, data overnance and other corporate strategies. • Ability to Multitask • Team player - ability to collaborate with others in support of responsibilities and MasterCard best practices. • Skills necessary to consistently search for improved methods to provide customer service.
