Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
· Day to day troubleshooting of a complex distributed computing
environment.
· Planning, Testing, Installation, Tuning, and general administration
of the following technologies:
WebSphere DataPower
WebSphere Application Server ND 6.x and 7.x
Apache based web servers IBM HTTP Server and SpringSource ERS
SpringSource Tomcat
· Ongoing patch deployments to the above technologies.
· Shell scripting, DataPower CLI/SOMA scripting and WebSphere
scripting using Jython.
· Collaboration with other teams in the planning, architecture, and
implementation of new applications, standards and processes.
*Skills & Technical Background must include:*
· 2 or more years experience in installation, configuration, and
administration of WebSphere DataPower and WebSphere Application Server ND.
· Proficiency in installing, integrating, tuning, and troubleshooting
of WebSphere DataPower and Application Server ND.
· Proficient in using WebSphere performance tools such as Wily and
Tivoli Performance Viewer.
· Working knowledge and understanding of Networking/Routing concepts,
Checkpoint firewalls, F5 load balancers, and MQ.
· Experience on AIX and/or Red Hat Linux.
· Experience on other Web, Application, and Middleware technologies is
a PLUS: Such as PEGA, Cognos, BroadVision, SOA, J2EE.
· Very detail oriented and experience working in a production
environment using Change Control practices and working under technical
project plans and timelines.
· Ability to work independently on projects.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
