Application Systems Analyst Location: Chevy Chase, MD Duration: 6 months - with potential for renewals over the next 2 years Rate: 60-70/hr *Must have skills:* Gather business Requirements Produce systems requirements Conduct functional and integration testing Client/server, web, and/or object oriented technologies System development life cycle methodologies This position will require the candidate to perform one or more of the following functions: gather business requirements, produce system requirements, conduct functional and integration testing, and triage problems reported from the User Acceptance Test environment or production The ideal candidate is an individual who excels in customer service and is results oriented. Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills are required. Critical thinking, decision making and problem solving skills are a must. A Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems or equivalent work experience is a required. Proven results in the Property & Casualty Insurance industry is a must. An understanding of client/server, web, and/or object oriented technologies is desired. Candidate should have a working knowledge of system development life cycle methodologies and is willing to contribute as a member of a team.
