*Need System Administrator / Windows Engineer / Server Manager at Los Angeles, California for 6 Months Contract* *• 5-7 years **x86 server support** experience required. * · *Active Directory* • ITIL Foundation certification/experience is a plus. • MCTIP - Enterprise Admin (MCSE), CCNA, and VCP are a plus. • OEM hardware certifications (HP ACE) are a plus. o Supporting x86 server platforms o Server Access Control Lists, and security delegation o VB/PowerShell Scripting o Troubleshooting application performance LAN/WAN o Technical writing/documentation • 3-5 years experience in the following areas: o SQL 2000, 2005, (2008) Clustering o IIS 6.0, 7.0 • Additional preferred technical skills including:o Proficient with HP DL server lines and BL (Blade) lines o VMWare View 3.0 and above o HP SIM o Microsoft SCOM o SOX compliance o Linux • Self starter able to complete tasks with minimal instruction and supervision. • Works well in a team environment. • Ability to communicate complex technical ideas verbally and in written form. • Excellent communication skills (ability to interface with all levels of users up to Sr. Executive) • Ability to balance the management of multiple IT projects and support duties. • A polished professional who can maintain/develop relationships with customers. • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft client computing technologies including (Office, Outlook, Visio, Project, Windows 7/XP/2000). • Functional understanding of networking and server technologies (Active Directory, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, WAN/LAN, VPN, Switches/Routers, Microsoft BackOffice, and Windows Server). *Job Description* * * This position is required to build, manage, and monitor x86 server platforms including Windows Server 2003 and 2008 standalone and clustering, VMWare ESX 3.0 and above. Responsibilities include monitoring and troubleshooting hardware, OS and application performance issues. Additional responsibilities will include management of multiple projects of varying complexities and priorities. Deliverables vary from process/workflow documentation, audit ACL reports and server utilization reports. The candidate is expected to collaborate with peers and resources in other departments to complete any number of server administration related requests and projects.
