Position:SQL Developer Location:Nashville,TN Duration:4+months The SQL Developer is responsible for data that supports internal systems for corporate functions. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with developing SQL code as well as tuning, ETL processes and be able to operate in a fast-paced environment. The client is a retail corporation that is moving quickly to update their internal systems to take advantage of technology to leverage their profitability. The work is challenging and fast-paced. This role is not for the faint of heart, but you will have the opportunity to working with cutting edge technologies. The team is a tight-knit development team that works extremely well together. Key Skills: - Strong SQL Development skills across 2000,2005, 2008 - Experience with SSRS, especially strong analysis skills - Strong ETL development skills Responsibilities: ² Provide database design and development support for projects. ² Designed new database schemas for Projects. ² Assist in the Design and implementation of SQL Server data warehouse. ² Evaluate and design dimensional modeling schemas for validity and robustness. ² Create TSQL stored procedures for data loads. ² Designed and implemented processes using DTS, T/SQL, dynamic SQL and SSIS. ² Provided database support for external website developers. Maintained, developed, and enhanced stored procedures used by the external website (clients/customers) ² Worked with the business users to streamline reporting and eliminated the technical programming dependency from this process. ² Provided suggestions to production processes that greatly simplified their operations and maintainability. ² Provide technical assistance to application development teams and business analysts ² Assist helpdesk with trouble reports on all database applications ² SRS Reporting expert – Create stored procedures in the database, provide query assistance to end-users utilizing ² Troubleshoot SQL DB performance issues ² Ability to identify configuration, indexing and hardware issues. Technologies: · SQL Server 2005 & 2008, Active Directory, Internet Information Server(IIS), XML/XSL, SQL Report Server, C#, .NET). · Understanding of Internet/Intranet security and best practices for development. · Must have strong analytical abilities, organizational and planning abilities. Required Experience: · Minimum 5 years experience working on small to large projects · Minimum of 3 years hands-on experience with SQL · Experience with Visual Studio (2003, 2005, 2008) and .NET Framework (all versions).
