*Senior Developer*
The senior developer will initially be the primary developer of a *Web-services
oriented Django application that provides services to mobile applications,
widgets and remote Web sites*.
*ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:*
- Collaborate on the creation, review, and revision of architecture for
the system, identifying data integration options and impact
- Validate specifications from a technical perspective, define solution
approach and architecture best practices.
- Implement systems primarily using Python and JavaScript, write unit and
integration tests, perform load testing, system profiling and perform
optimizations when required
- Respond to support requests
- Mentor junior-level developers and perform code reviews to insure
software developed adheres to specifications and meets quality standards.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED:*
- Ideal candidate will have B.S. in Computer Science or Information
Systems and 6-8 yrs of experience with proven ability to manage impact and
technical risks in the integrations between projects and systems.
- Ability to thrive in a team oriented, open and collaborative
environment a must.
- Exceptional analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills are also
required.
- Experience with the following technologies:
- *Developing consumer-facing Web applications that require cross-browser
compatible HTML/CSS *
- Excellent JavaScript coding skills, with Ajax and widget development
experience (JQuery experience preferred)
- E*xperience with Web development using dynamic languages/frameworks
(Python, Ruby, PHP); Python/Django experience preferred and
willingness to
learn Python/Django required *
- *Experience developing RESTful Web services APIs *
- Cloud hosting, Linux system administration, shell scripting,
development of scalable deployment architectures with failover support
- Database experience. MySQL preferred
