*Job Description:* The candidate’s main focus will be the migration effort from COBOL/DB2 to Java/Linux/Oracle platform. It is required that this candidate have exceptional object oriented concepts, be proficient in writing optimized SQL, have experience on such frameworks such as Struts and Spring. Candidate needs to be self-motivated and be able to plan and execute based on imposed deadlines. The candidate is also expected to participate in system analysis, design, implementation, documentation, and testing in support of the CME Group’s goals and initiatives. The candidate must have exceptional interpersonal communications skills, be able to provide technical guidance and encourage/support a collaborative approach to development. *Skills:* 5+ years Java development experience in OO and distributed environments. 5+ years experience with SQL and Relational databases (e.g. DB2, Oracle). This includes understanding complex multi-table structures, and being able to performance tune queries to run efficiently. 5+ years with Linux/Unix. Experience with Spring/Batch or JAVA/Batch processing is a must. Experience with Struts. Knowledge of open source libraries such as Log4j, JUnit, Ant, UC4, and Apache Commons, a plus.
