Specific software engineering responsibilities include customer needs analysis, system requirements definition, algorithm development, and programming. In addition, there will be an opportunity for some system simulation and on machine integration and testing work. The position requires: 1. Engineering or computer science degree. 2. Excellent written and verbal communications skills. 3. Programming experience using C++ and Java. 4. Experience with system optimization methods. The following experience is highly desired but not required: 1. Experience with National Instruments LabView tools. 2. Experience with Oracle or other relational database. 3. Experience with Adobe Flex and associated technology stack including web-services. 4. Experience with Geographic Information Systems (GIS). 5.
