** *Build Engineer* *Location: Newark, NJ* *Duration: 3-6 months* * * *Job Summary: The Build Engineer will build and deploy software releases. This position reports to: IT Release Manager Responsibilities: - Deploy software releases using Release Management best practices - Maintain and automate build and deployment processes - Control branching and merging of code - Generate release notes for software deliverables - Maintain source control system - Deliver reliable, timely and reproducible builds for project teams by deploying and maintaining Production, QA, and Development environments - Resolve and repair compilation and deployment errors specifically related to branching, merging, building of source code, and maintenance of daily builds and production releases - Troubleshooting build and compilation problems - Documenting the build system - Integrating the build system with automated test systems - Work with the various teams to integrate new code into the build system - Assist in the development of new processes, methodology's and tools.
