*Location: *Wilmington, DE** *Duration: *6+ Months *After Telephonic Interview round Face to Face Interview round is Must . Client is not paying any kind of expenses for Face to Face Travelling .* *Job Summary:* The Database Developer will primarily be responsible for developing database packages & stored procedures in the transactional databases that support web & other front end systems. As one of the database development team member, this professional will work closely with database architect, administrators, & frond end developers to ensure speedy sprint deliveries, integrated with data quality, security & good application performance. This Database Developer will also be responsible for tier 3 support for production issues, as well as, the deployment of production & QA releases in support of application development efforts. This role will ensure that customer service, system availability targets, & service level agreements are established & met. *Essential Functions* *Responsible for:* - Design & development of PL/SQL packages, functions or stored procedures to support the needs of application developers. - Analyzing & tuning PL/SQL packages, functions, stored procedures & add-hoc SQL through the use of explain plans, SQL trace, optimizer hints etc. - Assist in the design, modeling, development, & support of relational database in a team oriented environment. - Reviewing & make architectural recommendations on all physical design layouts of logical models - Maintaining version control of database objects & their integration with other application components - Proposing & implementing recommended physical object structures & their design, i.e. materialized views, indexes, partitioned tables, IOT, etc. - Reviewing, recommending & implementing appropriate statistical analysis for objects as needed, such as items relevant to histograms, ranges of data or frequency for CBO, outlined plans, etc. *Collaborates with:* - Vertical development team members in the development & tuning of packages & procedures. - Data modeling & development team to assist in the review of relational & non-relational database models & their physical generation. - Database administers & application support to communicate & coordinate production release plans. *Experience, Qualifications & Technical Skills & Abilities:* - Working experience in Agile development environment - Extensive experience with SQL DML, DDL, & UNIX scripting skills with experience of PL/SQL, stored procedure, packages - Ability to debug & troubleshoot Java applications with embedded SQL statements & DB function calls - Experience with SQL performance tuning & root cause analysis. - Experience using AnthillPro, Subversion or other software packages for version control & deployment build - In depth knowledge OLTP application development - knowledge of Oracle database, relational data modeling, & full life cycle database design & application development - Fundamental database administration concept including maintaining a large database, data cleansing, indexing & constraint strategies - Solid interpersonal skills - Ability to communicate clearly in written & verbal form - At least 5 years of experience in database & application development - Graduate level &/or equivalent work experience preferred.
