*Location:* Milwaukee, WI *Duration:* 6 months The candidate for this position should have a technical background and should be familiar with both manual and automated testing tools and best practices. They should be able to develop detailed test plans for all aspects of the web application which are both efficient and thorough. They should have good communication skills such that they are able to add value to the sprint planning working with the technical developers, and explain their testing in business terms to the user acceptance testers. This person should have experience with providing direction and mentorship for other testers in the QA team and should also be able to bring together a brand new team from diverse backgrounds and enable them to work together cohesively. This person should be familiar with agile and scrum principles and be able to guide a new team into the testing aspects of this style of application development. *Duties:* * Set test strategy and work closely with team members to execute the plan. * Assist with selection of automated testing tools * Act as an expert, value-added resource. * Perform manual and automated testing on developed software. * Consult with developers and clients about software system design and requirements. * Interact with other members of the team (other consultants and internal developers, analysts, project managers, testers, etc) to deliver requirements according to budget and schedule. * Provide coaching for team members regarding technical aspects of testing and tools * Provide mentoring and guidance for an agile approach to application development * Facilitate defect tracking and defect resolution priority setting *Experience:* * Demonstrated leadership abilities - leading through example, servant-leadership * 5+ years experience in Quality Assurance and Testing * 3+ years in a team lead or management role * Strong understanding of Agile concepts, specifically Scrum * Experience with Agile testing * Previous development experience or knowledge of Java environments * Bachelor’s in Engineering/Science or Mathematics (Computer Science preferred) * Passion for QA and testing. * Attention to detail, effective communicator, and focus on quality * Quick learner of technology solution and business operations Thanks & Regards, *Gaurav Seth* ITECS *IT & EBusiness Consulting Services Inc.* Ph: 516.499 6042 | Fax: 347 602 9084/866 515 6599 *[email protected]* | www.itecsus.com -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Java Tech Group" group.
