Job Role: Senior .NET Programmer Location: Boston, MA
Duration: 12 months + Interview Mode: Telephonic Hire Description The Senior .NET Programmer will be responsible for the creation and delivery of technical solutions for the Defined Benefit application suite as part of a major platform upgrade. The team will be geographically dispersed in the US and overseas. This program is a multi-year, large-scale Defined Benefits implementation requiring substantive enhancements to existing systems. Technical proficiency in ASP.NET using C# is a must. Day to day responsibilities include, yet are not limited to: · Translate functional requirement documents into technical design documents. · Design and develop applications based on functional requirements. · Write and execute unit test plans. · Review end user acceptance test plans. · Contribute to the development and implementation process. · Research, resolve, and document technical issues. · Participate in code review sessions. Qualifications for this position include: · Bachelor’s degree in computer science, MIS, or the equivalent is very strongly preferred. · 7+ years of previous experience as a Developer are required with the last 4+ using C# and ASP.NET 2.0 or later. · Highly effective communicator via email, telephone and IM. · Ability to coordinate work within diverse teams located in different locations, time zones and countries. · Ability to multi-task in an extremely complex and fast paced team environment. · Demonstrate commitment to quality and continuous improvement. · Experience working with Windows 2003 and SQL Server 2005 or later is a plus. · Experience working in both Agile and Waterfall design methodologies is also a plus. · Experience with at least one enterprise-level RDMS is required (in order of preference: Sql Server, Oracle). · Experience with common software design patterns is required · Experience with SOA is required · Experience with an ORM is strongly preferred (IBatisNet preferred) · Enterprise-level development experience strongly preferred · Experience with the following is a plus: third-party tool integration, fault tolerance, asynchronous processing, multi-threading, caching, state management, build\deployment tools, data modeling, database design, data analysis\engineering -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Java Tech Group" group.
