I think probably it is due to the settings of
the browser. I felt the http function of IE has
some problems. NetScape and Appletviewer are
good for JApplet.

Subject: [java2d] Problem while loading Java 2D applets with Netscape
Hi,
I am trying to use Java2D and every time that I try to run
an applet using Netscape (4.5 & 4.51) Netscape browser crushes
giving me a message which says:
"The instruction at "(a memory address)" referenced
memory at "0x00000000c". The memory could ne be read.
click on OK to terminate the application
Click on CANCEL to debug the application"
I have tried to run examples that I did using Java2d
as well as the demos under jdk1.2\demo\jfc\Java2D
The same that examples run fine with IE and the appletviewer
crush netscape.
Of course I have downloaded the jre and set it through the
Java Plug-in control panel.
I also used the html converter for my examples.
Similar problem happens with Java3D applets.
Do you have any idea what is the problem and how to resolve it.
Thank you very much in advance.
Petros
