I switched from Windows NT to Windows 2000 with an ATI video card last week. Suddenly I was getting a lot of complete screen redraws in my application.
I found a note in the bug parade database that advised trying -Dsun.java2d.noddraw=true I did this and now I don't get the flicker. My questions are: 1. Does this mean that I will get slower preformance? 2. Is there any work being done to enable DirectX for Java2D?
