Hello
I'd like to ask you a few questions.
As you are one of java3d leading person you probably could know
some answers to them.
We are using Java3d with linux (& accelerated libGL + MGA G400)
We would like to use Stereo java3d posibilities with Crystal Eyes.
We have many problems with this so far.
Our Canvas3D.isStereoAvaialable returns false - that means
some openGL call probable returns false - could we know
how java3d detects stereo availability??
(So we could fix them in libGL)
We have tried to change some internal setting of libGL but even
after these changes we were unable to get "true" result.
However after some more modifications we have forced libGL to
draw two images to one canvas3d - they were different, but so
far we don't know if the are creating stereo image as we need
to see them in two separare window placed bellow - this requires futher
modification of libGL, but we expect we will be able to achieve this
in near future.
So far we are using different way to create stereo image - we are using
two Canvas3D with views for the left & right eye -
this is working, but it has one big problem - we can't sychronize
buffer swapping - as we would like to see synchronized buffers swapping.
Now when the scene is little bit more complicated the buffer swap
is delayed and this is unpleasent for the viewer.
So what I'd like to know is the method how we can swap to canvases
at the same time - we have tried various tricks but none of
theme were working.
Thanks for any tips & help
Bye
