No. I get a black screen with
JAR cache enabled.
load: class HelloUniverse.class not found.
java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: java.io.FileNotFoundException:

Broken. B-i-g mystery to me why the j3d applets aren't up on the web
somewhere. I haven't waded into the licenses to see whether I'm allowed to
post them, but If I can, I'd be happy to.
The latest jdk Java3D has supposedly properly converted html files with
which to launch the demo applets. Can you run any of those applets from
your disc on your browser?

Ouch! I care, Carl. I really do. :-) I did the best I could with this,
getting them to run from the web on my NT4 machine in MSIE 5.5 and Netscape
4.5 and 6 Preview 2. I risked a friendship by asking a friend to try
outfitting a Java-free computer to run them successfully using the
installation instructions on my site. The friendship survived.
It's distressing to find that readers of this list, who presumably by now
have fully outfitted computers, are having problems. If others can't view
them, I have to find out why. My long-term interest in j3d depends on the
ability to deliver applets.
Do you get an error message in your console, or does it just seize up with a
black screen?

Well, when I built those pages, I was unable to get the Converter to execute
at all. Since then, I've gotten it running, but I haven't converted any
files with it.

Enlighten? Probably not. Commiserate? Absolutely.
