A new version of the Xj3D VRML/X3D API has been released.  You can
download the codebase at: http://www.web3d.org/TaskGroups/source/xj3d.html

Some of the major changes this release include:
    Prototype Support
        no extern protos currently
    Partial EAI 2.0 Implementation
        VrmlEventListeners, replaceWorld,begin/endUpdate  not working

We have the following sample programs:
    Java3D loader - Uses the Java3D loader interface to load VRML97 content.
    DIYBrowser - A standalone browser to view VRML97 content
    DOMViewer - A standalone browser to view XML encoded X3D content
    SEX3D - Simple editor for X3D.  A very early example of an editor
using DOM.

The M4 release is targetted for release in late February, 2002.  Our
plans are to concentrate on finishing the VRML97 specification.
 Specific projects include:  JavaScript support, finish EAI 2.0, extern
protos.  Please join us in developing this Open Source codebase.
