With the head tracker physical calibration it's useful to have an assistant to perform the measurements while you wear the tracker on your head. Also check to see if the device has any documentation that includes dimensioning information. Approximations can work pretty well though. That's what I did for most of my testing. At the minimum, you want to get the orientation correct. For example, the VR cave we have here uses a head tracking sensor that sits directly on top of the head, with the Z axis of its local coordinate system pointing straight up. If HeadToHeadTracker were left at its default identity value, then the user would be looking up in the virtual world while looking forward in the physical world. This would be extremely disorienting with an HMD, especially when turning ones head from left to right and instead seeing the virtual world twisting clockwise in front :) -- Mark Hood =========================================================================== To unsubscribe, send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] and include in the body of the message "signoff JAVA3D-INTEREST".
