Dave, without a doubt many of us feel the same. Very slick and nice utilities like "WeatherBug" will hork up your system if you install them. I basically won't try ANYTHING until I've heard good things about it AND I've tested it on one of my test machines. Nothing goes on my main machines until I'm satisfied that I really like and want it.
It sure doesn't help that there is so much confusion promoted so that we don't really know just how solid our firewalls are. I've tried some of the "test sites" and the info they give you is so basic as to be nearly useless. Also those of us that post publicly and run servers get a lot of attention (I must get 100 garbage e-mails a day) that a low profile person doesn't seem to get (my wife get's very little spam). - John Wright Starfire Research "Yazel, David J." wrote: > > The amount of virus laden e-mails hitting my accounts has increased > dramatically over the last month.
