Well, it seems that the installer accepts only one version :-(

I've set up another page, which uses the plain applet tag, no
selfinstallation, at:

I have Java Plugin 1.4.1_01 installed on my machine,
but your Applet wants me to install it again ;-(

Couldn't you set up a page that accepts just 
the currently installed plugin ?
