It may be not the right time to still focus on using Java3D.
There are hints that java3d will exist in some form or another, various posts including some on javagaming.org hint at it, but nothing is confirmed.
Java3d has served us well and will and continue to do so.
assuming the hints are correct
Many of us have had projects succeed with Java3d.
if all you need is the existing working features it's fine to us it, if you need fancy new bits, or max support then java3d isn't for you (yet?)
The problems of Yumetech.com & Justin Couch are their own and not typical of the larger community.
here we go again, Paul, give it up, those of us that know something about java3d and java in general can make educated decisions on our own, by constantly having a go at yumetech etc all you do is make us think you are some vengeful idiot. Make your point ant leave it at that, that is enough for us to make our own decisions.
Cheers
