Are you getting any error messages?
You could eliminate the possibility of browser problems by trying an example
from a DOS prompt rather than with a browser. e.g.

        cd java3d/Appearance
        java AppearanceTest

You could try using the DirectX version of Java3D1.1.1.

I'm curious to know if you resolve this problem because I was planning to
upgrade my NT4 from SP3 to SP4 so that I could use the DirectX version of
Java3D1.1.1. (since it seems that the MS implementation of DirectX is faster
than their implementation of OpenGL).
