I'd like to control the amount of texture going onto an object to create
the appearance of various materials. I've tried using
setTextureBlendColor() (with the textureMode set to BLEND) but all I seem
to be able to get is a "chromed plastic" look that isn't very realistic.
I've tried a lot of different settings and I can't see any difference at all. 

Any ideas as to how I could get this effect?
