The Extensible 3D (X3D) specification effort proceeds steadily, working to
provide VRML 97 scene graph functionality via the Extensible Markup Language
(XML). Numerous details are available at
        http://www.web3D.org -> Task & Working Groups -> X3D

We meet on on the first Friday of each month. Next meeting is this coming
Friday at SRI in Menlo Park. Map, telephone details and draft agenda are
available online. A copy of the agenda is attached for your convenience.

As specified in the process document, we plan on public review for all of
our efforts. Expect another announcement requesting reviews via the
x3d-reviewers list next week. To sign up as a reviewer now, or to join
the contributors list, please see
http://www.web3D.org/TaskGroups/x3d/X3dTaskGroupCharter.html#Mail

There is a lot happening! Now is a good time to start tracking X3D.
Thanks in advance for upcoming contributions and review comments.

all the best, Don
