Just a couple of quick questions about the primitives: 1./ Does Java3D use the GLU primitives (gluSphere(), gluCylinder() etc). 2./ If so, what are the benefits of using primitives? Obviously they save time in constructing shapes manually...but are there any benefits in efficiency? I.e. do OpenGL and accelerated cards optimise the primitives?
