First problem:
VAJ currently only supports Java 1.1.7. J3D needs Java 2. There is currently
a VAJ Tech preview on IBM's VADD that supports Java 2. It is limited to 500
classes.
Second problem:
IBM's doesn't use the JDK directly. IBM modifies the JVM to work "inside" of
the VAJ system. Depending on how much testing IBM does against J3D and JMF,
things may or may not work. Licensees are not required to support "extension
API's".
Anyone from IBM want to comment if J3D definitely will work in VAJ - The
Java 2 Version?
