Hi-

I want to have a "magic carpet" that goes through a VRML environment.
I want the view platform to be able to view the magic carpet from a
distance and then move until it is on the carpet at which time navigation
would begin. The questions are:

1) To have the magic carpet move independently through the environment,
do I need to make it a separate .wrl file from the rest of the environment?
Or, alternatively, is there a way to move individual objects from a .wrl?

2) Is there a way of using platform geometry? The problem is that when
I leave the magic carpet, the platform geometry would go with me.

In a second experiment, I need to simulate driving down a winding road.

Do I need to make a complete winding road environment or can I take sections
of track and morph them? Does anyone have a trick for this?

As always, thanks.
