Installing the Java HotSpot Performance Engine
The Java HotSpot performance engine is designed for easy, plug-in
installation in the Java 2 SDK and Java 2 Runtime Environment. The Java
HotSpot performance engine consists of three files.
jvm.dll
The performance engine's library file.
jvm_g.dll
A debug version of the performance engine's library file.
Xusage.txt
Usage messages for command-line flags.
Installing the HotSpot Performance Engine in the Java 2 SDK
The three files of the Java HotSpot performance engine come bundled as
a zip file which you can unpack with any standard unzipping tool
(examples are WinZip, unzip, pkunzip). To install the Java HotSpot
performance engine, simply copy the three files into the
jre\bin\hotspot directory in the SDK software. You will need to create
the hotspot directory beneath the jre\bin directory if
it doesn't already exist.
