*QA Test Manager* Should have worked on Rational suites of products in automation, requirement management, performance testing • Plans and manages testing effort for medium to large projects through the various stages of the development life cycle. • Works closely with business owners, development teams and project management throughout the development lifecycle to improve overall product quality. • Designs testing approach, scope, entry and exit criteria, identifies risks and dependencies, and design test cases for large testing efforts. • Mentors team in testing methodologies and test case design and reuse. • Establishes, modifies, moves and/or manages test data for various testing scenarios and platforms. • Leads estimation and Master Test Plan Development for medium to large testing efforts. • Participates in and leads, as appropriate, project activities including demos, test team meetings, feedback sessions, and technical training. • Ensures a quality end product by conducting appropriate testing effort based on design and risk. • Accountable for communicating with all project participants regarding testing status, including schedule, risks, issues, and potential impacts. • Maintains and consistently demonstrates a detailed knowledge of new technologies, testing practices and methodologies. • Assists in setup, upgrade, testing and administration of tools used by the testing team. • Designs, modifies, implements and executes manual and automated test scripts. • Reviews testing methodologies, models and processes to assure continuous improvement.
