Speaking as a fellow Sun lifer, I whole heartedly agree. Sun is a great place for some people. I've been here for four and a half year and have worked in 3 different departments. Even as a member of the JavaFX team I've worked on many different pieces. If you ever get bored there's always some other cool project you can join (like the Java Store), and you are surrounded by other great engineers with good ideas. Plus, I get to work remote 100% of the time from Oregon, so I can't really complain.
