I bet spots will open.  I would try a few times today, as it appeared
like the system was issuing tokens of some sort on the initial screen,
and keeping track of those (as opposed to the actual numbers of actual
people registered).

I bet these will timeout today, and some spots will become available
as they do.

Google dropped the ball on the registration process big time.
