I was still in my "Microsoft hater" phase (Amiga forever) and I wasn't going to surrender to a Windows operating system without putting up one hell of a fight. OS/2 was unusable. I gave it a fair shot for about a month and between the non stop swapping (you needed a lot of ram), regular crashes and poor Windows emulation, it was a huge hassle to just maintain it, let alone do something useful with it. Not as bad as Linux, but close. By the way, I'm referring to Warp (OS/2 2.0). Of course, there was no Internet back then so finding material to help you troubleshoot it was impossible. Windows 95 was a breath of fresh air when it came out and it ran rings around Warp. -- Cédric -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "The Java Posse" group.
