AFAIK, we all are already on the mailing list and we don't need to wait till 8th session start, if one wants to do homewrok, he/she may start today itself. I think it's just homework submission deadline matters. there is no compulsion on starting date. date-wise schedule given on homepage is just for sake of individual's help.
