Hello Java programmers, I was reading this article: http://faq.javaranch.com/view?OverridingVsHiding linked in the course, lesson about inheritance. I think all the mess mentioned in that article could be avoided by forbidding the use of references to instance objects with static members of a class. Why was it even allowed in the Java specifictions?
