Do you have help installing the XP update?
You should be able to go to the start menu, and then arrow down to and press
enter on, run.
Type in, d:\setup and press enter.
I wouldn't try upgrading your PC unless you have somebody helping you that
knows what they are doing though.

I'm not sure where you are typing in, d:\.
When you put in the XP upgrade CD, it should automatically start the
installation.

This is the reason why I asked the question is because me jaws is coming
up as a demo for its not reconizing my authorization code! He put the xp
upgrade in the cd drive and typed in d:/ to install it!I hope I explained it

Are you talking about what drive your CD goes in or what drive to install XP
to?
If it is the CD, you would normally put that in the D drive.
If it the installation, the C drive is where it should be installed to.
