Just remember that while Adobe Reader does have accessibility _settings_, the screen access technology companies still have to make their individual programs work with it.
The problem with using Acrobat Reader 8 with JAWS 6.2 may be that JAWS 6.2 wasn't around at the time of; and, hence, couldn't be tested with; Acrobat Reader 8. This is not true of JAWS 8.0. I get concerned about people who don't keep their screen access systems current because of the cost, yet who insist on installing the very latest versions of some utility or other because it's free. In effect, this is just asking for trouble, since the screen access system simply can't be expected to work with programs that were developed years after it came on the market, nor should it be. The single most important program you have on your computer after the operating system is your version of JAWS and either keep it as current as possible or don't add anything new to your computer and then expect an old version of JAWS to work with the new program. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Robert S.
