Rip is the fancy term assigned to the procedure of simply copying songs from
a CD to your hard drive. I remember some years ago the wife of a friend of
mine was telling me how she flipped out on her nephew because he showed up
at their house one day and said Uncle Tony I want to burn a CD. She
proceeded to tell him off and that he wasn't burning anything in their house
at all. So I explained to her like I just did for you that burning is the
term used to put information on a CD, which is in fact what you are doing by
using a laser beam.

ok, Andy. Once you have done all those steps, do you save the items
selected? What does rip mean? As I have said for years, it's the language
and, especially, all the acronyms that boggle novices. Thanks. marilyn
