Patty, First of all, do you have a group called family and one called friends? If so, then highlight the name you want to be placed in one of those groups and do the insert control numbpad slash command. Next arrow to that group and repeat the drag and drop command. Note: Sometimes if the item you are wanting to drag is separated by several other items from where you are wanting to drop, you may have to drag and drop the item a few times before you get to the group you want it in. For example, if you have 30 items in your list, and the item you want to move is position number 25 and the group you want to move it to is position number 5, then you may have to drop that item at position number 15, then drag and drop it at position number 10 and so on until you get it where you want it.
