Most laptops have an embedded number pad in the QWERTY keyboard. On my previous laptop, a Toshiba, and on my current laptop, a Dell, I just have to toggle the numlock and tap the keyboard function key twice and I can enter numbers from the right hand side of my QWERTY keyboard.
