Hi what is happening is after you delete the message your Synthesizer is still
reading the name of the message you just deleted. If you hit control to stop
speech and do a say line it will not be the previous message you just deleted,
but a new one. Your Synthesizer may be resetting it's frequency to often
causing it to respond to fast, there fore speaking the name of the message you
just deleted instead of the message you are now focused on.
Increasing your Synthesizer reset frequency could help with this problem.

HTH

Best wishes,

No nothing like that is going on here. Do you maximize your emails when you
read them is what comes to mind?

I'm still having one problem in OE. I didn't catch it at first, but here's
what's happening:

After reading a message and deleting it, JAWS still acts as if that message
is there, reading the sender's name and the subject. When I read current
line that message is actually deleted.

If I delete messages I don't care to read, I don't seem to have the problem.

Is anyone else experiencing this? Sorry I missed this phenomenon earlier.
