Also, If your not using the DEC Talk Access 32 software synthesizer then uncheck "Allow wave files with software synthesizers ". It enables smoother playing of WAV files when using the DEC Talk Access 32 software synthesizer. This option is only available in Default.jcf. It is not checked by default and can mess with other synths. Allot depends on the processor speed, amount of memory, paging size and whether it resides on the same hard drive as your OS or a second hard drive, virtual memory resources being used, programs running in the background etcetera; so you have to sort of play around with the numbers until you get it the way you want it.
