So, if I'm understanding this correctly, if I connect an external keyboard 
to a notebook computer and the numpad doesn't function though the keyboard 
does, could that mean the numpad is turned off?  i'm experiencing this right 
now with a notebook computer I'm working on for a student.

I have recently come to obtain some visual basic scripts that will do
what the subject line says. The idea is that the number pad will stay
where you set it unless you change it manually. If there's an interest
