David, The obvious answer to your question is why not? To me it was a list problem and only the list members could cure it. I object strongly to the word Gripe, it was not that, but something I thought would help. We are all getting a tremendous amount of help and do appreciate it. Personally I wouldn't like it to get to the point where members are afraid to voice their views without asking permission.
