I am happy to report that it worked perfectly the second time. The first time didn't work because I did not know that the authorization check box needed to be checked. Thank you again Annette. It figures that Verizon had to be different than every other email service I've ever used before regarding their out going server name. I would have never got it guessing. David, I have no idea if this is what you are looking for, but I went into my brand new Verizon account settings and this is what I found for outgoing mail. outgoing.verizon.net The one thing that I am sure of is that we had a very difficult time getting this account set up. I've got the in coming working fine but we're having trouble coming up with the out going protocol. I've never done a verizon account before even though I've done many other services in the past.
