I chose Spanish. I truly do want to learn the Spanish language but I had an interesting thought. JAWS does have a Spanish speech engine. Unfortunately I don't know how to make JAWS use the Spanish engine for the Spanish words and the English engine for the English words. I need the English for things like the computer and JAWS menus. Having the Spanish pronunciation on the Spanish words would be most useful though. On a side note I did find that one can use the JAWS dictionary as a Spanish to English translator. Just select the Spanish word and have the JAWS system pronounce the English word instead. However, this is self defeating when one is trying to learn the language. One place it may come in useful is in an a job that required translating documents from one language to the next. I would appreciate any advice on how to get JAWS to recognize Spanish and use the Spanish engine in PDF and Word documents though. I know that it switches over automatically on web pages.
